Welcome back to KAAS for an exciting school year in Mighty Room 18! This week of class we will be continuing to focus on responsibility and getting back into the school routine. It is important to develop good habits for a successful school year. These habits include being on time for school, wearing your school uniform, bringing all materials back to class, and completing all assignments to the best of your ability. We will also be focusing on making sure we are reading every day and night in our accelerated reading books. While developing a love of reading we will also be practicing our comprehension skills by taking daily accelerated reading tests. Make sure you are reading books that you can understand and that are on your reading level. If you need help finding the right book see me and I will help you with this. I also invite you and your parents to use our website regularly, as this will be a good way to stay informed. Later this month, you will also be setting up your own email accounts and digital portfolios that you will be using throughout the year. I hope you are ready for an exciting year in third grade and remember the Room 18 slogan:
"Give to the world the BEST you have and the BEST will come back to YOU!!!
